Shashamane Ethiopia-Shashamane Vacations-
Shashamane Rastafarian Home: Shashamane is city in the Oromia of Ethiopia and located about 240km southwards from Addis Ababa. In 1948 Emperor Haile Selassie donated land in Shashamane offering opportunity for Caribbean and Jamaicans to return to their homelands in Africa.

Taking the offer Trip to Ethiopia Location Shashemene, Ethiopia, Rastafarians migrated to the donated land. Currently the area is home to nearly 300 Rastafarians, although at the peak their were over 2000 immigrants

In 1948 Emperor Haile Selassie I donated 500 acres (2.0 km2) of his private land to allow members of the Rastafari movement, Ethiopian World Federation (EWF) officers and members and other settlers from Jamaica and other parts of the Caribbean to go to Africa.

Day-1 Arrival & city tour of Addis Ababa
Arrive in Addis Ababa. Arrive in Addis, meet me on the airport, and transfer to your hotel. If you come at 7:00AM, you will have a city tour in Addis. But, if it is in the evening you arrive, well you’ll do it on the last day of your departure. Overnight in Addis Ababa at the Sadula Hotel
Day-2 Fly to Bahar Dar, boat trip on lake Tana & Blue Nile Falls
Early in the morning, fly to Bahar Dar. A town found 180km south of Gondar at the bedside of Lake Tana. It’s a town found in the northern part of Ethiopia and come into prominence in the 18th C. it is used to be a commercial destination on a trader caravan to and from Gondar and the surrounding areas. Today, it is one of the most attractive towns. After lunch you will go to 32km to Blue Nile falls. The impressive plumes of mist bellowing from the depths of the Blue Nile falls led locals name it “Tis Isat”. It is one of the most spectacular falls in Africa. Overnight in Bahar Dar at the Dib Anbessa hotel.

Day-3 Drive to Gondar, visit the castles & transfer to the airport for Lalibella
At 5:00 AM, drive 180km to Gondar and visit the 17th C castles. After you check-in to your hotel and a little rest, start visiting of the city, castles and the church. Gondar was once the capital city of Ethiopia, its prominence beginning with the region of emperor Fasiledes in 1632. After visting the castles right away transfer to the airport to fly to Lalibella. In late afternoon, visit one of the eight wonders of the world Lalibella (the 11 rock-hewn of churches. Overnight in Lalibella at the Yimreha hotel.

Day-4 Fly to Axum & Sightseeing of the Stele field
In the morning transfer to the airport and fly to Axum. Northern Ethiopia’s ancient city of Axum is the country’s oldest extant urban settlement. Once the capital and a major religious center, it remains the site of many remarkable antiquities, including the famous monolithic obelisks or Stele, important stone inscription written in three languages Geez, Sabean, Greek; the remains of spectacular palaces and graves and special gold-silver and bronze currency produced up to around 330 AD carry representation of the Sun and the Moon, and later coins from the early 4thC on ward bear the cross of the Christ. Axum has three main Obelisks. In the afternoon sightseeing of the Stele field. Overnight in Axum at the Yeha hotel.

Day-5 Fly back to Addis Ababa and NYE in Addis Ababa
. Spend the whole night with full of enjoyment in different places. Overnight Addis Ababa at Sadula hotel.

Day-6 Drive to Shashamane for NYD
Drive to Shashamane. Overnight Shashamane at Lily of The Valley hotel.

Day-7 Drive to Shashmane and Wondo Genet
IAnother Free day Interacting with locals with the attraction is the forest (is good for hiking), the swimming pool with full of by the hot natural spring water. The springs are said to have curative properties, which encouraged Emperor Haile Selassie to build a private lodge. Overnight Shashamane at Lily of The Valley hotel.
Day-8 Spend day in Addis Ababa and Depart
At 10:00AM drive back to Addis Ababa and visit the open air markets to buy souvenirs and some other thing depending on your interest. Or make your own schedule. In the evening transfer to the airport for international flight.
